About WISH

The WISH website provides a location for materials on the history of Scottish women. It includes primary documents, a searchable bibliography of primary and secondary books and articles, a list of researchers in the field, and brief biographies of women not included in The Biographical Dictionary of Scottish Women (Edinburgh University Press, 2006)

After a rather long hiatus (!) new material is once again being added to the website. New items are appearing in the Bibliography and Links sections.

 

7 July 2016 New Features

The Browse: subject page has now been reorganised. This should make searching for items in particular categories easier. Stay tuned for further updates to the site!

 

2 Feb 2015.

The subject area is being updated to include the names of individual women, usually under their surname. The work on this has just begun. You can also search for sources of individual women in the search page for the bibliography.
